Privacy Policy
Last updated August 20, 2026.
SunSwallow doesn't collect data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no cookies. The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to put in a support message — and we use it for exactly one thing: writing you back.
This policy covers the sunswallow.app website and the apps published by SunSwallow LLC for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It explains what we do and don't collect, and your rights under privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
What this website collects
Nothing, unless you write to us. This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, and no third-party scripts of any kind. Browsing sunswallow.app leaves nothing behind on your device and tells us nothing about you.
Like every web server, ours writes routine access logs — the requested page, a timestamp, your browser's user-agent string, and the originating IP address. These are used to keep the site running and secure, are never combined with anything else or used to build a profile, and rotate out on their own.
The support form
When you send a message through the form on our home page, we receive the name, email address, and message you typed, plus the topic you picked from the list. That message is delivered to us as ordinary email.
We use it to answer you. That's the whole purpose. It is not stored in a database, not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not shared with anyone.
To keep spam out, the server briefly remembers a one-way cryptographic hash of the sending IP address for fifteen minutes so that it can count recent submissions. The address itself is never written down, the hash can't be reversed into an address, and it expires automatically.
Our apps
SunSwallow apps do not:
- Require an account or a sign-in
- Contain ads or advertising identifiers
- Collect analytics, telemetry, or usage data
- Track your behavior across apps or websites
- Send your content to us or to any third party
What you create in a SunSwallow app stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account if the app offers syncing. We have no servers holding your data, and no "phone home" behavior. Each app's App Store listing carries its own privacy label, which will say the same thing.
Third parties
We keep these to a minimum, and none of them receive data about you from us:
- Apple. Our apps are distributed through the App Store. Apple handles purchases, payment processing, and license verification under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never see your payment details.
- Our web and email host. The site and our mailbox run on servers we operate in the United States. Support messages pass through them the way any email does.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process the limited information described above on these bases:
- Legitimate interest — replying to a message you sent us, and keeping our site secure and free of abuse (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Contract performance — providing support for an app you have bought (Article 6(1)(b)).
Your rights
Because we don't collect or store personal data through our apps, most data rights are satisfied by default — your content is on your own device, under your control.
For support correspondence, and under applicable privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to request:
- Access — a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — correction of anything inaccurate
- Erasure — deletion of your data
- Portability — your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection or restriction — that we stop or limit processing
We have never sold or shared personal information, and we never will. To exercise any of these rights, just write to us — we'll respond within 30 days, or sooner if the law requires it. If you are in the EEA and think we've got something wrong, you may also complain to your local Data Protection Authority.
How long we keep things
Support email is kept only as long as it's useful for the conversation and any follow-up, and you can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time. Server logs rotate out on their own. There is no user database to age out, because there is no user database.
International transfers
SunSwallow LLC operates from Virginia, in the United States. If you write to us, your message is read and stored there. We don't collect data on an ongoing basis, so there is no continuing transfer of personal data — the only transfer is the message you chose to send.
Children's privacy
Our apps are made to be enjoyable at any age, and they collect nothing from anyone. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we have no accounts, profiles, ads, or third-party trackers through which such information could reach us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll say so plainly on the site. Given that our whole approach is to not collect anything, we don't expect much to change.
